When you're a kid, one of the best things about autumn is jumping in a pile of leaves. Well.. for the first time in at least 3 years, that's what I did =).

My stepmother was outside racking the leaves and my sister was putting on her shoes, anxious to get outside. I watched through the window as my stepmother slowly gathered the golden brown leaves into piles. My sister ran through the yard and as I watched her I casually suggested how much fun it would be to jump in the leaves. My stepmother smile and within 15 minutes she sent in my younger sister Tanisha to take me outside. I felt so childish wanting to play in the leaves. These are simple, wistful pleasures that make me happy =P. My sister grabbed my hand excitedly.
"Come on Kathryn! Jump in with me," she ordered. I smiled as I held her hand and counted to three. We ran into the pile and dove into its sea of leaves. I laughed as my sister tried to throw leaves at me and pour armfuls of leaves into my hair. I got her back by burying her in the pile O=). We had more leaf fights and she would always tried to outdo me by throwing these huge armfuls of leaves at me xP. After a few minutes I got up and grabbed the rake to make a new pile out of the one we just demolished. Tanisha was a little disappointed because she thought that we finished playing in the leaves. When her back was turned, I spooned a bunch of leaves onto the rake and poured them on top of her =D. Haha, she tried to do the same with her mini rake but she wasn't quite tall enough [plus I kept running from her, lol]. I'm so glad I got to spend time with my little sister =), I'm sure she had a blast.

If you're bored, go outside right now and play in the leaves. =P
