Today is high school band's solo and ensemble contest >_<. Actually, I wasn't that nervous at all. Yesterday, I played my solo at my piano accompanist's house and we played my piece together until it sounded satisfactory to me =).

Well, when I got to the school to play my ensemble, I met everyone there except for Brittany. When she arrived, our french horn player, Susan, was gone o_O". When we got everyone together, we let Angela, our oboe player, play her solo first, then played the woodwind quintet we had prepared. Our performance was okay. I stumbled a bit, hehe = but we all did. Our judge said we did a "very nice job" overall, so I'm very pleased =). We made a 1 and Brittany says that means we can play at state. Hmm, sounds good =D.

After I was done with the ensemble, I walked around and just tried to stay relaxed. I met up with Jessalyn and we talked a bit, then I went to the gym to warm up. My warm up was a lot better than my actual performance. To me, my performance was a disappointment =. I didn't stay to check what score the judge gave me. Eric left after I did and he said my scored still wasn't posted. He, Leila, and Christina are the only flutes I know of that made 1's so far. Congratulations =). I'm sure Sarah made a 1 too, but I have no idea what I made.

After the competition was over, my friend Stephen Yoo took me to see a movie as his belated birthday present to me. I wanted to see How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, lol I hope he didn't mind. He said it was pretty good for a chick flick =P, and of course I liked it. I don't really think there's a movie I don't like, haha. We got to Stonebriar late, so by the time we got to the theater, the seats were all packed. We had to sit in the very front row. Everything was so... big. Haha, oh well, still a good movie =). When the movie ended, I went to Macy's to return the dress I bought for the Jasper dance when I thought it was formal ^_^". Then Stephen and I walked outside and talked while we waited for his mom to pick us up. I think the next movie I want to see is Daredevil. Ben Affleck and Colin Farrell.. mmm very nice ;o).

Now I've just gotten home and I'm hungry and tired O=). I still have two days worth of geometry to make up ~_~". Oh well, I'm going to go to bed now. Good night ^_^.
